个人简介

刘丹,讲师,硕士生导师,湖北省优秀博士论文获得者。研究方向:表观遗传学在神经精神疾病中的作用。承担国家自然科学基金青年项目一项。目前发表SCI论文16篇,其中包括Neuron, J Neurosci, Cell Death & Differ, Mol Neurobiol等国际知名杂志。

承担教学工作情况

承担五年制临床医学、法医和医学影像学及四年制检验班等本科生的医学遗学的理论及实验课的教学承担研究生的医学遗传学、高级医学遗传学及医学遗传学进展等课程的教学。

研究方向

主要从事阿尔茨海默病(Alzheimer’s disease, AD)发病的分子机制及防治措施的研究。该病是最常见的一类老年痴呆症,以进行性认识功能障碍为特征,严重影响老年人群的生活质量,同时对整个社会也带来极大的负担。然而,目前对于该病的发病机制、预防及治疗措施尚不清楚。微小RNA是一类高度保守的非编码RNA,其主要在转录/转录后水平对基因的表达进行调控。近年来的研究表明microRNA的失调对AD的发病进程起重要作用,所以本课题组的主要研究方向为microRNA在AD发病中的作用与机制研究。
