李岩,华中科技大学基础医学院三级教授,博士生导师,人畜共患传染病重症诊治全国重点实验室PI,药物靶点研究与药效学评价湖北省重点实验室PI,同济医院双聘教授,病原生物学系党支部书记,国家高层次青年人才,湖北省杰青,湖北省公共卫生青年拔尖人才。目前担任湖北省医学会微生物与免疫学分会副主任委员(候任主任委员)、教育部病毒学领域教学资源建设项目专家、湖北省生物物理学会常务理事、Wiley出版社VIEW Medicine副主编、Journal of Cellular Biochemistry编委以及The BMJ等二十余个期刊审稿人。于中国科学技术大学获得学士学位,新加坡南洋理工大学获得博士学位,在新加坡国立药物研发机构从事多年的创新药物研究工作。

课题组利用生物化学、分子生物学、结构生物学、人工智能、微生物学等多种方法探究包括耐药细菌、利什曼原虫、冠状病毒在内等重要人畜共患传染病的致病分子机制,并针对性的开发新型干预手段。以(共同)通讯/第一作者在Science、Lancet Microbe、Nature Communications、Nucleic Acids Research、Journal of Infection、Journal of Virology、FASEBJournal等期刊发表SCI论文40余篇,H因子26。参编高等教育出版社及科学出版社医学微生物学多本教材。主持国家自然科学基金新冠专项项目及面上项目、湖北省杰出青年基金、多个公司合作课题、武汉市卫健委应急科研专项等多个项目,作为骨干成员参与多个国家重点研发计划、湖北省创新研究群体等。课题组与业内多家领军企业有长期的合作,已申请药物专利5项,多个新药研发项目已经进入临床试验阶段,参与开发的产品销售至十余个国家,获得华为最佳创新合作奖。
